As stated in the previous post, the conversions of the wives of the members of the prodigal band begins in Chapter Ten of The Prodigal Band with Morwenna, formerly a Godly spirit being, now human, influencing the women to accept Christ. This begins with singer Erik’s wife, Ger, who had hired Morwenna as her personal assistant. While Erik (as well as the rest of the band) was away meeting with a former roadie who composed a song for the band to perform, Morwenna is meeting with Ger after she and the rest of the band’s women had met in the atrium of Ger’s estate, as posted in the previous post, Part Two. The Prodigal Band’s ‘Missions of God’: Snippets On How the Prodigal Band Carries Them Out (Part Four): Drummer Tom’s Mission
Next up is the prodigal band drummer Tom, who was born into great poverty within the slum district called the Hovels in the band’s hometown, his father being indentured along with other folks in this district. At age nine, a spirit being called the witch of the Hovels convinced Tom to leave the Hovels and become adopted by the band’s original manager, Billy Prestin—who also adopted guitarist and band leader Jack, who escaped an abusive father within a supposedly Christian cult. Upon becoming a wealthy rock star, Tom was determined to free his family from indenture (as well as the other Hovels indentured folks) by paying off the debt and also was determined to find out who indentured his family. In the meantime, he chose to hang out with other wealthy celebrities and aristocratic upper class associates so as to find some clues as to who held the indent over his family. That was how he met and developed a loving relationship with the princess of a fictitious principality inside Italy called Leandro, Princess Tina. The love that developed between the two was about more than just finding out who indentured his family. And the man who controlled the indent, another aristocrat named Marty, the Duke of Effingchester, having learned Tom paid off the debt—which was a curse on him as told to ancestors by the satanic spirit character Corion—vowed to get revenge on Tom by marrying the Princess! Tina, of course, was totally opposed to the marriage and despised the Duke and continued in secret to be with Tom when possible. Further, it was Tina who paved the way for Tom to realize he had to turn from his debauched celebrity lifestyle and (as she said to him in The Prophesied Band) ‘open the Bible.’ Further, in Chapter Eight of that second trilogy novel, both Tom and Tina witnessed a satanic ritual through a window of an underground room within satanic cult leader Cole Blessing’s residence. Thus, since Tom hung out with aristocrats and celebrities who were also influenced by the forces of evil and was partnered with a force for good, the Princess who was also fighting the evils of her Godless husband the Duke, God’s angels, the Tooters, gave Tom this mission they knew he could carry out…as long as Tom would not carry put what he promised his father in a letter stating he had paid off the debt—that is, to kill the man who indentured his father. Below, from Chapter Ten of The Prophesied Band, is the mission given to Tom by the Tooters as singer Erik held the final note of the final song at the hometown music festival:
Tom, his drums silent, also listened.
“You will know His Word by your band leader’s instructions. You must know these Words so that you can use them to fight Corion’s new order and the Evil of Corion you saw that night at Cole Blessing’s home. Your mission is to make your entertainment colleagues turn from their Godless ways and to take the tool of Godless culture away from the servants of Evil. Your enemy, the Duke of Effingchester, will try to stop you. You must defeat his influence, but you must not defeat him as you once promised your father. Remember, The Creator will deal with him.”
A Look at the Key Chapter of The Prodigal Band Trilogy that Decides the Fate of the Prodigal Band, and Their ‘Redemption Draws Near’ (Part One)
It is within Chapter Eleven of The Prodigal Band, the third novel of The Prodigal Band Trilogy, where the most important key to the purpose of writing this trilogy is found. It is where the prodigal band named Sound Unltd decides to ‘return to the Father,’ that is, God, as the Luke 15 Parable of the Prodigal Son states. It is where they collectively decide to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and Redeemer.
It has been over three weeks since I posted my last post which related to The Murder Rule, the post being inspired by the near-assassination of Slovakia leader Fico and the assassination of a military leader of Iran, Raisi…on top of other important assassinations and near assassinations that have been done recently—and throughout history. But last night as I was reading this section of The Prodigal Band, inspiration came into my head to write here that this section ‘sealed the deal’ so-to-speak—the band would accept and carry out their ‘missions of God’ given to them by God’s angels, the Tooters, at their hometown festival, during the final note of a song the Tooters gave them years before.
This section is long and somewhat complicated as each band member sparks his personality into the conversations they carry out within a ‘void,’ a timeless, soundless, unknown dimension they think just might be ‘heaven.’ It is a void they were ‘caught up’ into having been taken out of a jet that was about to burn due to a bomb going off, a bomb placed by a minion of evil to force them to ‘toe the line’ or be murdered. They were headed to a ‘Directorate meeting’ where the agenda was to force them to finalize their ‘sell their souls to the devil’ pact, on paper, to finalize their ‘oaths’ to the satanic spirit figure, Corion. The section begins with them getting onto their 747 jet from Philadelphia to London and ends with their collective decision to accept Christ. The section will be divided into a few parts, and, unlike the snippet posts which tended to be longer, each sub-section will be explained as to the personalities within the conversations and various events that happen to them in the void, including those with Biblical implications…being “caught up,” but not quite in the clouds…
Before I post the segment that begins this series of posts, let me review for the reader’s sake the names of the band members ‘caught up’ into this ‘heavenly’ void—from Chapter One of Battle of the Band, with the names of the band members inserted in parentheses:
A lead singer (Erik) with dark brown mid-back length hair accentuated by sensuous bangs on a baby-face was slender, thin-lipped and of medium height. Voice a Godly gift. Yet, some said, the devil’s tool.
The tall dirty-haired guitarist (Jack) possessed an angular face and had hair growing on once side-shaved sides of his head. Now without the screaming instrument he fired into immortality.
The dark, strapping bass player (Keith) with bushy black curls and coal-dark eyes walked without his trademark gold chains.
The tall, lanky, beak-nosed, ringlet-haired master of many guitars (Mick) worried over his past perversions.
The pot-bellied, biker-esque synthesizer player (Bryan) famed for red hair as wild as the wind, fiery as his brew, bore a downcast of regret.
A short, curly-blond percussionist (Tom) once angered by lost love approached with the others to an unknown destination, glad with a full life behind him.
Below is Part One of this series; the scenes are a prelude to the ‘caught up’ into a ‘heavenly realm,’ with the band members at the jet and on it headed to London. But there will be ‘note’ interruptions to explain what is going on in the segments and the characters involved.
Talent For A Mission, Chapter Two (Part One)–My Personal “Why”
This next post from Talent For A Mission (copyright 2023 Deborah Lagarde) is from Chapter Two and goes into some detail as to why I chose to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior–and Redeemer. Why redeemer? Because as with all humans beginning with Adam and Eve having been tempted by “the serpent” aka Satan to commit sin, that sin or sins–and remember, all humans fall short of the glory of God except for Christ as human–provide a “debt” so-to-speak that must be repented, then pardoned or paid-in-kind in order to reach Heaven to be with God. When Christ shed blood on the cross as a sacrifice, it was to REDEEM all sins of all people who repented of their sins and accepted Christ as Redeemer along with Savior. And, in this part one of Chapter Two, I explain some of the sins I did that had to be redeemed through repentance. And these weren’t typical sins, either, but serious ones in my opinion! But here is the weird aspect of this–while doing these sins, God STILL had my back and saved me from some possible death scenarios! And one wonders why I accepted Christ? Hmmm…
