Talent For A Mission: Chapter Five (Part Two)

This is a continuation of the previous post of Talent For A Mission, Chapter Five, Part One. Below is Chapter Five, Part Two, the final part of the final chapter of Talent For A Mission, © 2024 Deborah Lagarde. Part One deals with using characters, personalities and roles, and knowledge of national characteristics and the possibility that some target readers has been involved with cults. This final post opens with the possibility that maybe, just maybe, some target readers are members of families some like to call ‘the elites.’ Part Two is below.

And what if at least part of your ‘target’ readership is a member of ‘the elites’? Nobility? Aristocracy? Oligarch? High-up politician? Academician with ‘wokester’ or far-left tendencies? Communists, or even neo-Nazi Fascists? Imagine that! Writing a novel to get those least likely to accept Christ because they grew up in evil or power-mad families! Now how possible would getting some scion of ‘the rulers of this world’ to turn from evil and accept Christ? Well, in my The Prodigal Band Trilogy novels, the band’s manager—a son of a Baron who rules over the banking system, modeled after the Rothschilds—accepts Christ; it is worth noting however that he never quite bought into what his father and grandfather were pushing: their ‘illuminati’ ‘new world order’ agenda, or, in today’s parlance, ‘the WEF great reset’ nonsense. And then there is the son of the leader of that fictitious Central Asian nation Adabustan, who accepts Christ around the same time he starts exposing the evil ‘world pandemic’ agenda in the early 2020s (based on the ‘Covid-19’ ‘pandemic’ pushed to get the world vaccinated with a ‘vaccine’ that doesn’t even work but supposedly changes one’s DNA….sounds transhumanist, no? After all, many of today’s oligarchs including the ‘good guy’ Elon Musk…yeah, right!…are transhumanists, including WEF Klaus Schwab side-kick Nuval Noah Harari, that ‘hackable animal’ dude.)

And speaking of evil agendas…

Are we into or approaching the ‘end-times’ spoken of in the Book of Revelation? It would seem so, and let me count the ways: wars and rumors of wars (Ukraine vs. Russia, Israel vs. Hamas and Hezbollah and others, possible war between China and US over Taiwan, Houthis and maybe Iran vs. the west, and likely more), earthquakes in ‘diverse places’ (such as those that hit tiny towns Mentone and Toyah in fracking-land in far west Texas, which never had earthquakes before) and also all those Grindavik, Iceland, volcano eruptions lately, and also earthquakes in various places all over the world lately. And then there are famines and pestilences coming (and maybe the ‘elites’ forcing farmers in the west to stop farming might have something to do with this, not to mention ‘pestilences’ fomented by a certain oligarch pushing fake ‘vaccines’ and releasing mosquitos wherever—you know who I mean!)

The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 24 lays it all out in Christ’s words, starting in verse 6 through verse 14 (King James Version):

{24:6} And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars;…for these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

{24:7} For nation shall rise against nation (Ukraine vs. Russia, Israel vs. Palestinian territories/Gaza, and Hezbollah in Lebanon, for now), and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places (see above)

{24:8} All these are the beginning of sorrows.

{24:9} Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

Note: And who is ‘they’? The Christ-haters, haters of Christians, those who behead believers, including those spiritually related to those who had Christ crucified…and certain tyrannical governments (think North Korea here, and I have a friend who escaped there as a child because her father was a Christian minister there and the family had to escape, but there are others as well….and the USA is seemingly headed in that direction: popular culture getting more satanic and cultural Marxism taking over education and more, aka ‘woke-ism.’)

[24:10} And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

{24:11} And any false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (I’ll let the reader figure this one out!)

{24:12} And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will wax cold.

{24:13} But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved (and of course the ‘he’ here also includes women).

{24:14} And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then the end shall come.

Then Christ refers to the Abomination of Desolation, referring to Daniel the prophet in Daniel 9:27, the “abomination that makes desolate.”

Therefore, Christian author of fiction or non-fiction, become that ‘witness’ to all nations as we may be approaching the so-called ‘end times,’ using the talent God gave you to ‘preach’ the Word, and ‘make disciples of all nations.’ In other words, do your job!

Amen, and blessings!

So that is it for Talent For A Mission, © 2023-2024 Deborah Lagarde, Rights Reserved, with quotes from the copyright-free King James Bible. Soon I will be uploading the entire ‘manual’ for free PDF download, but may have to make some editing changes in the meantime.

My next post? Hopefully, soon, likely dealing with the novels I have written.

Born on Long Island, NY, in 1952, now live in the mountains of far west Texas. Began writing fiction stories at about 8 years old with pen and loose leaf paper, and created the characters in my Prodigal Band Trilogy as a teenager. From the 70s to the 90s I created the scenario which I believe was inspired. While bringing up and home schooling my two children I continued to work on the novels and published "Battle of the Band" in 1996 and "The Prophesied Band" in 1998. Took off the next several years to complete home schooling and also working as an office manager for the local POA. In 2016, I retired, then resumed The Prodigal Band, a FREE PDF book that tells the whole story to its glorious end. Hint: I'm a true believer in Christ and I'm on a mission from God, writing to future believers, not preaching to the choir. God gave me a talent and, like the band in my books, I am using that talent for His glory, not mine (and, like me, the band is on its own journey, only fictional.) I also wrote for my college newspaper and headed up production, was a columnist in a local newspaper in the early 2000s, and wrote for and edited "Log of the Trail," the news letter for the Texas Mountain Trail Writers, and wrote for and edited it's yearly catalog of writings, "Chaos West of the Pecos." OmegaBooks is my self-publishing sole proprietorship company founded in 1995. Other jobs included teaching secondary math, health aide, office worker, assembly line work, and free-lance writing and bookkeeping, much of it while home schooling.
