Snippets-to-Spin-offs: The Murder Rule and More (Part Eleven)—The Beginning of Chapter One of the Murder Rule, Part Three…and No Spoiler Alerts!

My last post was a month ago! Yikes! But I’ve been busy working on the The Murder Rule, Part Three, and more…as well as considering another part, Part Four, of this new novel. And at this point it looks as if The Murder Rule will not be finalized until next year, 2023. Yet I will summarize this Part of the novel as a scenario that closely matches much of what is happening in the world today.

The Murder Rule, Part Three, begins in a similar fashion to The Murder Rule, Part One, where an entity named ‘Cal.edit’ has another ‘murder-related’ assignment for pop-culture pundit Lloyd Denhom, the narrator of Part Three and Part One; Denholm is a free-lancer for truth-telling pop culture magazine called X-Zine, and ‘Cal.edit’ runs the operation. But the time frame has changed, for it is now 2023, not 2005 as with Part One. The proposed assignment is about investigating another supposed ‘murder’ that was actually reported by the mainstream media as a ‘death’ without giving any details. ‘Cal.edit’ sent Denholm an email about the assignment, giving very few details. But ‘details’ would be revealed in another couple of days by an ‘Agent P,’ a former member of British Intelligence who now worked for X-Zine. In the snippet below, a short one that is summarized in this paragraph, there will be no spoiler alerts, and the person who ‘died’ according to the media is not mentioned either. Enjoy! Final note: the so-called ‘take down’ of the prodigal band Sound Unltd and their manager Joe Phillips of the FREE PDF third novel (The Prodigal Band, Chapters Eleven through Thirteen) of The Prodigal Band Trilogy is referenced in this snippet

‘Cal.edit’ Strikes Again! April, 2023

“We have another assignment for you, Lloyd.”

That was the subject line of an email over an encrypted server from X-Zine’s ‘Cal.edit’s’ latest head of their privacy ‘division’—the guy who changed X-Zine’s passwords ever hour. Only now, he changed the passwords ever half-hour! Oh, and by the way, he was at one time in charge of changing encrypted server passwords at some secret division of British Intelligence! He left that job by faking his own death!

This is what ‘Cal’ told me a year ago when he was hired. “I can’t give you his name, but we call him ‘Agent P’. He faked his death so Intelligence wouldn’t or couldn’t locate his whereabouts. Why? Because he hated betraying the people of his country.

“And remember I told you about how these moles tried to take down Joe Phillips in 2001?”

How could I forget that one! “Right. At his hotel he owned near Buckingham Palace. The night Mark Besst and some Hellyons kidnapped Sound Unltd, but couldn’t kill them. Angels, or something.”

“Yes, and when Agent P found out what almost happened to his favorite rock band, he hacked into some Intelligence servers and discovered that the band and Phillips as well were being spied upon. On the orders of Baron Torquay-Lambourgeau.”

“Right. Phillips’ own father.”

“Exactly. And how may Brits even know that?”

One thing I knew about Phillips, having ‘interviewed’ him during the beginning of Sound Unltd’s tour of the US in the summer of 1990, was that the band’s manager was the son of this banking oligarch, a leader of the ruling elites, head of the world-ruling Novordo Club, and head also of the satanic Hellyons. Philipps had even told me that he kept his relationship with his father a secret so that only the elites, the Super Six, their women and a few other rival rockers and rappers knew about it. The common man of the United Kingdom had no clue at all. Not even X-Zine would reveal it—on Phillips’ orders. After all, his millions of pounds or dollars or Euros in donations to keep them going required this secrecy.

So, what was this next assignment from ‘Cal.edit’ at X-Zine? This is what appeared below the email subject line:

I cannot reveal to you the assignment over this email. Agent P will send you a document by certified mail from an address that does not exist, sent by a post office mail carrier who works for Agent P clandestinely inside the City of London. This document will tell you all the details as to your new assignment. It concerns another person who, as with Agent P, has faked his own death. This person, a very key person in the fight against the elites, will be referred to as Agent R. You should get the document in a couple of days, after the ‘death’ of this person is announced on British TV in a day or so. Signed, Cal.

Actually, it was announced that evening on British TV nightly news.

The man Agent P referred to was….

Sorry, I will not reveal who this man is right now! But maybe the reader can figure it out anyway.

Born on Long Island, NY, in 1952, now live in the mountains of far west Texas. Began writing fiction stories at about 8 years old with pen and loose leaf paper, and created the characters in my Prodigal Band Trilogy as a teenager. From the 70s to the 90s I created the scenario which I believe was inspired. While bringing up and home schooling my two children I continued to work on the novels and published "Battle of the Band" in 1996 and "The Prophesied Band" in 1998. Took off the next several years to complete home schooling and also working as an office manager for the local POA. In 2016, I retired, then resumed The Prodigal Band, a FREE PDF book that tells the whole story to its glorious end. Hint: I'm a true believer in Christ and I'm on a mission from God, writing to future believers, not preaching to the choir. God gave me a talent and, like the band in my books, I am using that talent for His glory, not mine (and, like me, the band is on its own journey, only fictional.) I also wrote for my college newspaper and headed up production, was a columnist in a local newspaper in the early 2000s, and wrote for and edited "Log of the Trail," the news letter for the Texas Mountain Trail Writers, and wrote for and edited it's yearly catalog of writings, "Chaos West of the Pecos." OmegaBooks is my self-publishing sole proprietorship company founded in 1995. Other jobs included teaching secondary math, health aide, office worker, assembly line work, and free-lance writing and bookkeeping, much of it while home schooling.
